However, according to Express, Middleton began dressing for her future role as Queen only after Markle joined the Firm. Middleton’s style has noticeably undergone a makeover when Prince Harry married Markle.
In April 2019, less than a year after Markle officially became part of the royal family, Prince William’s wife hired a new help in the fashion department while her trusted stylist Natasha Archer was on maternity leave. Middleton hired fashion editor Virginia Chadwyck-Healy to dress her up and many noticed how the future queen’s fashion leveled up.
Middeton’s wardrobe trademark included exceptional fit and impeccable fabrics. However, with her new stylist, Middleton’s style tend to move towards more modern cuts. They also started to play with trends.
Middleton even outshone Markle during Archie’s baptism. The Duchess of Cambridge received praises for her class, beauty and elegance when she showed up at the event with a pale pink dress with pussy bow tie neckline.

“Kate always outshines,” another added.
“Kate Middleton's style has undergone an evolution over the years since she first entered the spotlight as Prince William's college girlfriend,” celebrity stylist Lalla Bronshtein told Express.
“In preparing for her role as Queen, I think her personal style has developed; she’s choosing more fashion-forward looks and becoming more experimental while consciously still dressing as becoming of a future Queen.”
Bronshtein noted that Middleton’s caped cornflower blue coat by Mulberry and sparkly turquoise midi dress by Missoni were stunning. The latter’s sheer sleeves and deep V-neck looked both fresh and on trend.
Middleton’s changed in fashion gave her an edge over Markle and even Queen Elizabeth II. In fact, she beat the monarch and the Duchess of Sussex in the fashion department when she topped in the survey about the royal’s fashion by the Fashion Retail Academy in London.
