Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle Would’ve Never Gotten Along Despite Princes William, Harry Rift
Although Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s exit appeared to expose the rift in his relationship with Prince William, it also revealed the reason why the former “Suits” star never built a friendship with Kate Middleton.
After Meghan married Harry in 2018, there were reports that she was feuding with her sister-in-law. However, a royal expert revealed the women never stood a chance of forming a genuine relationship with one another.
In the Channel 5 documentary, “Royals: A Family in Crisis,” a clip featured footage of Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan at a charity event. When the group was asked if they had disagreements, the Duke of Cambridge replied, “Oh yes.”
Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that since Kate and Meghan were forced to see each other so often, they were unable to get along.
“The whole idea of the ‘Fab Four’ was completely impractical because if you marry into a family and live next-door to your inlaws, and you inhabit the same offices, and you use the same charity, then there is not very much left for independence,” he explained.
Fitzwilliams went on to claim that because of the tension within the royal family, Queen Elizabeth hasn’t been able to appreciate the positive changes Prince Harry has made in his life.
“I think one of the problems with William and Kate, and Harry and Meghan, is not only are their futures are totally different but also, their personalities, as couples are very, very different,” the royal commentator said.
“And Harry has certainly changed. And I think the Queen will have found this something very difficult for her to appreciate.”
When Prince Harry and Meghan step down from their royal duties at the end of the month, Kate, William, and other members of the royal family are expected to take on more responsibilities to compensate for the Sussexes’ absence.
