Kate Middleton Praised, Meghan Markle Criticized For Their Royal Roles

Kate Middleton is praised while Meghan Markle is criticized for their royal roles.

Stefanie Powers shared her opinions about the members of the royal family while speaking with The Daily Beast. She praised the Duchess of Cambridge but criticized the Duchess of Sussex.

“[Meghan] wants to be a star, which, I’m sorry, is not what she is supposed to be doing. Meghan’s role is not about being a star,” Powers said.

She added that Markle’s job is to be Prince Harry’s wife and not to change the royal dynamics. She also criticized the duchess’ acting career.

For Powers, the “Suits” star was not a great actress. In fact, Markle “has not gotten into the role she has taken on.” She also disagreed with the headlines describing Markle as a Hollywood royalty marrying British royalty.

Powers continued criticizing the other members of the royal family including Prince Andrew and Prince Harry. According to her, the Duke of York and Duke of Sussex have made themselves look like fools.

While Powers criticized Markle, Prince Harry and Prince Andrew, she had nothing but praises for Middleton.

“Kate [Middleton] is impeccable, she doesn’t put a foot wrong,” she said.

Aside from the Duchess of Cambridge, Powers also recognized Princess Anne. She loves the Princess Royal because she finds her sensational and totally committed to what she does. She also appreciates how Princess Anne has stepped back and doesn’t make a circus of life whenever she steps out.

“She’s the real thing. She’s kind of mischievous. She has a wicked twinkle,” Powers said of Princess Anne.

On Wednesday, Middleton joined Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles for the Queen’s annual Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace. The royal mom of three was stunning in her Lover’s Knot tiara and silver necklace from the monarch’s collection.

Prince Harry and Markle didn’t make it to the event since the couple is still on a six-week vacation. However, the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly still in “work mode” because she is preparing to launch the Sussex Royal Foundation on New Year’s Day.
