Kate Middleton wore a new ring at Queen Elizabeth II’s diplomatic reception.

On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out together to join Queen Elizabeth II for the annual Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace. Prince Charle and Camilla Parker Bowles were also in attendance at the event.

Middleton looked stunning in her navy velvet ball gown by Alexander McQueen. She accessorized with the Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara, drop earrings and a silver necklace from Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry collection.

According to Caroline Hallemann of Town & Country, the duchess was also wearing a new ring on her finger. There is no detail about Middleton’s new bling and What Kate Wore, the official page for the Duchess of Cambridge’s fashion found it “quite unusual” for her to do so. A few snaps of Middleton’s new ring have been shared on Twitter.

One netizen commented on the post and agreed that it was indeed quite unusual for Middleton. The same Twitter user speculated that Middleton’s ring goes with her earrings because her accessories have similar design.

Meanwhile, Stefanie Powers has shared her opinions about the members of the royal family. She criticized Meghan Markle but praised Middleton.

According to her, Prince William’s wife is “impeccable” and the duchess doesn’t put a foot wrong. On the other hand, she slammed Markle for trying to be a star when it’s not part of her role.

According to Powers, Markle’s job is to be Prince Harry’s wife and not change the royal dynamics. She also disapproved of Markle’s acting skills. For her, the former “Suits” star is not a great actress. In fact, Markle “has not gotten into the role she has taken on.”
