Kate Middleton’s New Title ‘A Cover-Up’ For Prince William’s Infidelity, Netizens Say

Kate Middleton received a new title from Queen Elizabeth II, but netizens said it was just a cover-up for Prince William’s alleged infidelity.

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. The Queen gave Middleton the highest rank in the order by appointing her as the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. However, some netizens believe that there was a motive behind it and it’s down to Prince William’s cheating scandal.

“Kate gets a consolation prize because William cheated on her,” one Twitter user wrote on an E! News post.

“A cover up for Williams infidelity,” another netizen added.

“The least grandma can do after she put up (gracefully) with his cheating grandson,” a different user wrote.

Many believe that Queen Elizabeth II did it to “kiss up time” after her grandson cheated on his wife. Also, some believe that this is to convince Middleton not to speak against the royal family.

Just recently, Prince William was subjected to harsh memes for the same reason — his alleged infidelity. Some netizens compared the future king to a fish, donkey and a bald character.

Although Prince William’s cheating rumors continue, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge don’t show any signs of a strained marriage.

The couple was last seen together on Easter Sunday with Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth II, the Tindalls and the rest of the members of the royal family. Prince William and Middleton were all smiles and appeared to be in high spirits.

Weeks ago, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also stepped out with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and the Tindalls. On the said outing, the family looked happy.

According to an insider, Prince William and Middleton are not splitting and want to end the rumors as it has already affected them. Prince William’s cheating allegations have rocked the palace and his marriage to Middleton.

For this reason, he already took legal actions. At least one publication reportedly received a warning for publishing details about the alleged affair which was “false and highly damaging.”

Another insider said that Prince William felt a bit sorry for himself and was under a lot of stress. The cheating rumors really affected the second-in-line to the throne that he drinks more than he used to.
