Katy Perry And John Mayer Rekindle Their Romance, Spotted Kissing And Cuddling In NYC
Katy Perry and former boyfriend, John Mayer, were spotted kissing and cuddling on Monday in New York, sparking rumors that they have reconciled after breaking up in March.
Perry and Mayer were attending the Friars Foundation Awards Gala in Manhattan, and although the couple arrived separately, Perry was soon seen cozying up with her former boyfriend, an onlooker told ABC News.
“They were smooching and rubbing one another’s backs,” the source said. “And Katy had her arm around John at one point.”
The on-again-off-again couple was also seen together during the weekend, reportedly enjoying a date night at the Bowery Hotel in New York. An onlooker told E! News that Perry’s body language suggested that they were once again back together.
These repeated sightings of the couple comes just a few days after Perry said in a Vogue interview that her relationship with Mayer was over, but also admitted that she still harbored feelings for the singer.
“I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that he’s got a beautiful mind. Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds,” Perry told Vogue.
In the one year they have been together, Perry and Mayer have broken up at least twice, according to New York Daily News. Perry and Mayer first got together in August 2012 and called it quits after only a few weeks of dating. They reconciled in September, but decided to go their separate ways in March 2013.
Although the reason for their split was not revealed, a friend of the couple told Us Weekly at the time: "It's not over until it's over. You have to see how things play out.”
