Katy Perry Shimmies In Instagram Post Amid Rumors Claiming Orlando Bloom Did Not Want To Start A Family With Singer
Katy Perry shared an inside look at her preparations for her iHeartRadio Music Awards 2017 performance this Sunday. The “Chained to the Rhythm” singer, who just split from Orlando Bloom, appeared to be unaffected by rumors claiming the reason behind the breakup was them not seeing eye-to-eye on where they were headed with their romance.
On Sunday, Perry posted a short clip of her practicing the shimmy in her Stella McCartney attire for the iHeartRadio Awards. In the video, Perry can be seen doing the ragtime dance move in her red tassel coat while sporting an intense look on her face.
Many fans are pleased with the teaser the singer-songwriter uploaded. One wrote: “What a tease. Can’t wait to see you perform.” However, some are still not sold on Perry’s short bob. A fan commented: “I’m sorry, but I don’t love the hair. It doesn’t suit your pop princess style.”
Earlier, Perry shared an adorable clip of her little pooch, Nugget. In the post, Perry was unable to contain her fondness for her “beanie baby” as she gave it a bone to bite. Nugget is perhaps the only witness of Perry and Bloom’s last night together, since the ”Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” actor even took a snap with the mixed-breed dog a day before their reps announced their split.
Ever since the end of their one-year romance was made public, both Perry and Bloom have been keeping mum on what really happened. Just recently though, an insider leaked to Mirror that the real reason behind the split was their different views on where they should be heading with their relationship. “Katy wants children and to get married, while Orlando has been there and done that,” the insider said.
“Katy and Orlando had a great time together. It was a great healing process for Orlando following his divorce from Miranda,” the insider explained. “But [they] discovered they were on different pages … At 32, Katy doesn’t want to waste any more time. It became a strain.”
