Orlando Bloom Says He’s Having ‘A Good Time’ On Instagram After Breakup From Katy Perry

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry shocked their fans when their reps confirmed to the media that they have officially called it quits. Hours after the announcement, the “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” actor once again surprised his fans with a social media post that could be telling of how he is feeling at the moment.

On Wednesday, Bloom updated his Instagram account by uploading a photo of him taken at the Vanity Fair party following the Oscars 2017. In his post, aside from thanking fashion designer Stella McCartney for his look and seasoned photographer Mark Seliger for his portrait, he indicated that he’s having “a good time” at the after-party.

Though Bloom’s post is obviously harmless, some fans questioned and even slammed him for saying such a thing in the wake of their confirmed breakup. One fan wrote: “Katy deserves a man, you are a boy.” Another commented: “You lost an angel. Katy was a big deal. You’ve missed it out.”

Bloom’s post comes just after it was announced that he and Perry have headed to splitsville. Their representatives released a joint statement about the breakup saying, “Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”

The announcement came as a surprise to the Hollywood couple’s fans since they were even spotted together at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party last Sunday night. Their attendance at the event was supposed to be special since Bloom just got back from his UNICEF duties in Niger, while Perry just released her “Chained to the Rhythm” single and music video.

Meanwhile, an insider just told People that Bloom and Perry’s romantic relationship wasn’t supposed to be serious from the start. “It was never really supposed to be serious between them,” the insider said. “When it first started, she was basically like ‘This will be fun for now.’”

Interestingly, it appears the split may have been made final two days prior their appearance at the Oscars 2017. Daily Mail exclusively reported that at a pre-Oscars party at Tao nightclub six days ago, Bloom was seen cozying up to a pretty brunette named Erin McCabe. The two reportedly engaged in a long conversation while drinking wine.
