The Komi family is traveling to meet grandmother Komi Yuiko in "Komi Can't Communicate" Episode 8. The upcoming episode is expected to showcase the dynamics of the family where Komi Shouko and her father, Komi Masayoshi, find it difficult to communicate.

The new episode is called "Celebrating Ubon, Festival, Summer Vacation is Over." The official Twitter account has shared the synopsis, along with spoiler stills of "Komi Can't Communicate" Episode 8.

The synopsis suggests that Shouko is nervous to meet her family members. Moreover, she will be meeting her cousin Akira after several years. Akira will likely get emotionally attached to Shouko.

The spoiler stills from "Komi Can't Communicate" Episode 8 also tease a scene where Shouko and Tadano are shown at a fair celebrating Ubon.

In the previous episode, Shouko went for the pool trip, keeping her nervousness aside. She wore the dress Tadano chose for her.

Shouko only owned the school swimsuit and Yamai urged her to wear a bikini.

After the pool trip, Shouko decided to visit the library with her father, who like her, cannot communicate freely.

"At a high school full of unique characters, Tadano helps his shy and unsociable classmate Komi reach her goal of making friends with 100 people," read the official series synopsis, according to Netflix.

The cast "Komi Can't Communicate" anime includes Aoi Koga as Shoko Komi, Gakuto Kajiwara as Hitohito Tadano, Rie Murakawa as Najimi Osana, Noriko Hidaka as narrator, Yurika Moriyama as Kaede Otori, Yukiyo Fujii as Himiko Agari, Yuga Sato as Taisei Sonoda, Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Akako Onigashima, Ruriko Aoki as Nene Onemine, Rumi Okubo as Omoharu Nakanaka, Rina Hidaka as Ren Yamai, Mitsuaki Hoshino as Masayoshi Komi, Megumi Han as Nokoko Inaka, Maaya Uchida as Tadano Hitomi, Kikuko Inoue as Shūko Komi, Kensho Ono as Mono Shinobimono, Kenji Akabane as Shigeo Chiarai, Junya Enoki as Shousuke Komi and Ami Maeshima as Makeru Yadano.

Fans can watch "Komi Can't Communicate" Episode 8 Thursday on Netflix Japan and TV Tokyo. Viewers outside Japan will be able to watch the episode on Dec. 9 on Netflix.
