Kristen Bell has no plans of keeping secrets from her two daughters.

The 42-year-old "The Good Place" alum admitted to having a very open-communication relationship with her two daughters, 9-year-old Lincoln and 8-year-old Delta, whom she shares with husband Dax Shepard, in an interview with Real Simple, as part of their "Game Changers" issue, published Thursday.

Bell revealed that no topics are off limits, including sex and their father's history with drug addiction.

"I hate the word 'taboo.' I think it should be stricken from the dictionary. There should be no topic that's off the table for people to talk about," the actress told the publication.

She continued, "I know it's shocking, but I talk to my kids about drugs and the fact that their daddy is an addict and he's in recovery, and we talk about sex. There are all these 'hard topics' that don't have to be if you give the person on the other end your vulnerability and a little bit of credit."

Bell and Shepard, 48, have been open about dealing with the comedian's struggles with drug addiction, including several instances of relapsing.

During a September 2020 episode of the actor's "Armchair Expert" podcast, he revealed that he relapsed on painkillers at the time after 16 years of sobriety. But he noted that he was already seven days sober. The admission came a month after Shepard underwent seven surgeries after sustaining motorcycle injuries in an accident.

Meanwhile, the "Gossip Girl" alum revealed in an interview with Self over two years ago that she kept drug tests at home and was given the "full authority" by Shepard to use them in case she had doubts or was "nervous" that he'd relapse.

Despite Shepard's continuous battle with drug addiction, Bell praised her husband for his commitment to getting better.

"He's just good at trying, and that's all you can ask of anyone. No one's perfect," she told Self in 2021. "He's proven to me that he is committed to evolving and he loves personal growth."

While speaking with Real Simple, she described the comedian as the "game changer" in her life, adding, "My husband keeps my mind and heart open and moving forward every single day, because he's a challenger."

"We disagree about 99 percent of the things on earth, which is just fun and interesting," she added.

Bell and Shepard tied the knot in 2013 at a courthouse in Beverly Hills after six years of dating.
