Lady Gabriella Windsor's wedding has been accused of potentially upstaging Meghan Markle's baby's birth.

In December, the palace announced Windsor and Thomas Kingston’s engagement and said that the royal couple will tie the knot in the Spring. Windsor and Kingston’s actually took place in August, but they opted to make the official announcement a few months later.

The royal couple will follow in Markle and Prince Harry’s footsteps of tying the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The church is also where Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot on Oct. 12. But this is not the reason why Windsor has been accused of upstaging Markle.

Even though the official date of Windsor and Kingston’s wedding hasn’t been announced yet, the fact that they will tie the knot in the Spring could mean that there will be an overlap with the arrival of Markle’s firstborn.

On Oct. 14, Kensington Palace announced that the Duchess of Sussex will welcome her first child in the Spring. During her recent walkabout in Birkenhead, Markle told royal fans that her due date is scheduled either at the end of April or at the beginning of May.

Kate Whitfield, a journalist for Express, said that Windsor might not want the attention to be drawn away from her on her big day. Markle is one of the most popular members of the royal family, and she has attracted huge crowds every time she is out in public.

The arrival of Markle’s baby in the Spring is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the royal family for the year.

In related news, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Markle may all skip Windsor’s wedding. Royal commentator Robert Jobson told Express that this is because their relationship is quite distant.

Her Majesty is the paternal first cousin of Windsor’s father, Prince Michael of Kent, who is the grandson of King George V and Queen Mary.
