Lamar Odom Update: Khloé Kardashian Reveals Estranged Husband Has To Learn To Walk Again; Recovery Could Take A Year

Khloé Kardashian is opening up about her estranged husband Lamar Odom's long road towards recovery, even though he has made progress in the last few weeks. The 31-year-old also recently revealed she appreciates that boyfriend James Harden has been so understanding throughout the entire situation.

On Monday, Kardashian told "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" that she truly believes that everyone's "prayers and positive thoughts" helped Odom pull through.

"It was not looking good from where we started, but at this moment he’s not on any machines to keep him alive anymore," Kardashian revealed. "His kidneys are recovered and all of his organs have pretty much recovered. It’s more... his brain is still affected and physically he has to learn how to walk again.”

She continued, "He’s learning how to feed himself again, and all those normal things that I think we take for granted every day. It’s going to take a long time… But I’m so blessed with the progress.”

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star went on to tell host Ryan Seacrest that she thinks if Odom is willing to do the work and go to "speech therapy and occupational therapy," he will recover. She did, however, say that Odom's recovery won't be quick and could take up to a year.

Regardless of how long it takes, Kardashian plans on sticking by his side and told Seacrest that she's grateful Harden has been so understanding.

James has been great," she said. "He’s been very supportive with everything. I really, really appreciate how supportive James has been, and it wasn’t just another layer of stress on me.”

As previously reported, Kardashian called off her divorce to Odom last month after he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and rushed to the hospital. The E! star spent nearly three weeks in the hospital with Odom, but just recently started to get back to her daily life. Last week, Kardashian and Harden made their first public appearance since Odom's medical crisis at Lure nightclub in Los Angeles.
