Lea Michele, ‘Glee’ Cast Remember Cory Monteith On 3-Year Death Anniversary

Cory Monteith is gone but not forgotten, especially not by his “Glee” cast mates. Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, Harry Shum Jr. and more went on social media to pay tribute to their friend on the third anniversary of his death.
Michele, 29, was Monteith’s girlfriend on and off screen when the actor died. Her tributes both included a picture of Monteith on the beach. “We may not have gotten to share a lifetime together.. But the memories.. they're the best of my life.. Love you Cory,” she wrote on Instagram Tuesday.
Her message on Twitter was different and revealed that she knew the actor was watching over her.
I know everyday you're watching over me, and smiling. Love and miss you Cory, everyday, but today a little more..❤️ pic.twitter.com/gyahNm5mmH

The “Scream Queens” actress, who got her second tattoo honoring Cory earlier this year, wasn’t the only one to pay tribute. Several other cast members posted photos of the fallen actor, including “Shadowhunters” star Harry Shum Jr.
“A literal giant with a giant heart. A goofball who had two goofy feet. He always took the time to listen to others problems even when he had many of his own. I'll never forget how comfortable you made me feel my first day on set. Miss you, my giant friend. #3yearswithoutcory,” Shum wrote alongside a silly photo of him and Monteith.
Many other “Glee” cast members remembered their friend on social media as well. The posts are all different, but the sentiment remains the same. They remember Cory as a kind person, and they all say how much they miss him.
Always missed and never forgotten. ❤️ #3YearsWithoutCory

Montheith was found dead on July 13, 2013 at age 31 in Vancouver. A toxic mix of heroin and alcohol caused his death. “Glee” killed off Monteith’s character, Finn, and went on for two more seasons without him.
