Liam Hemsworth Dodges Question On Miley Cyrus, Says He Won’t Fall For It

Amid reports that actor Liam Hemsworth was engaged to Miley Cyrus and that the couple were living together, he seemed to be in no rush to confirm or deny the rumors. The reconciliation reports started around Christmas last year after Cyrus reportedly spent Christmas with Hemsworth and his family in Australia, and was seen on Instagram wearing the engagement ring she received from Hemsworth when they first got engaged.

The couple was said to be living together at present and a report by TMZ said Cyrus moved into Hemsworth’s Malibu house with her four dogs last month. TMZ added the couple had six dogs together. However, the report was contested by People late last month, saying the couple was still planning to move in. Cyrus and Hemsworth first started dating in 2009 and got engaged three years later. They broke up in September 2013, ending their engagement as well.

While promoting his movie “Independence Day: Resurgence” with Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman, Hemsworth was reportedly asked by Access Hollywood if he was “enjoying his independence.”

Hemsworth responded to that saying, according to Contact Music: “What do you mean by that?” he smiled. “That's a trick question isn't it? (I'm not falling for it) at all, not one bit.”

Last month, Cyrus also shared several photos on her Instagram page wearing her engagement ring. The photos triggered reports that she was engaged again to Hemsworth.

A late January report by People said, citing a source, that the “Wrecking Ball” singer was beyond happy being back with Hemsworth and that the couple was trying to minimize the spotlight on their relationship.

“Miley is beyond happy to be engaged to Liam again,” the source told People magazine, adding: “It might seem sudden, but they have been very close for the past few months.”

The source also said: “They just wanted to keep their relationship out of the spotlight while they figured things out,” adding: “Liam never liked how exposed his life was with Miley.”

The source also said, according to People, that Cyrus was “making changes for their relationship to work” and added: “They both seem much more mature.” The source went on to say that “Miley wants to get married,” and Hemsworth’s “family was very hesitant about a marriage in the past, but they really got to know Miley better when she spent time in Australia a few weeks ago. Everyone seems excited that they are back together.”
