Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon Step Out For Dinner Date; Are They Back Together?

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon called it quits in 2014 and finalized their divorce last year, but they’ve been very hands on when it comes to co-parenting their twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott. However, their closeness following the split has sparked hoped among fans that they could get back together eventually.

Last Saturday, Carey and Cannon were spotted stepping out for a dinner date at Au Fudge in Los Angeles. While the former “America’s Got Talent” host was making his way to the restaurant, several photographers and TMZ got the chance to get a statement from him. When asked why he’s been spending time with his ex-wife regularly, Cannon responded that the obvious reason is they’re family. He maintained that this is the reason why they see each other everyday.

The day prior, Carey and Cannon were also seen enjoying some quality time at Nobu Malibu. The Hollywood stars were even photographed exiting the restaurant together with Cannon in the driver’s seat, according to Daily Mail.

Last Thursday, the diva and the comedian-rapper bonded with their kids, who are turning six on April 30. Carey even shared a snap of herself reading a story to Moroccan Scott, while Cannon and daughter Monroe are already sound asleep. The post quickly caused Carey’s followers to encourage her to get back with the father of her kids. “It’s about time that you and Nick Cannon get back together Mariah,” one wrote. “It’s obvious that they low-key still love each other,” another commented.

Last Easter weekend, Carey and Cannon also bonded with their twins. The former couple uploaded photos of their egg-painting activity with the kids on social media. Also present at the family get-together was Cannon’s newborn son with beauty queen Brittany Bell, Golden.

Meanwhile, Carey broke up with backup dancer boyfriend Bryan Tanaka early this month. Though the two have yet to reveal what caused the split, sources have said that it was because of Tanaka’s jealousy over the singer’s relationship with her ex-husband.
