‘Married At First Sight’ Couple Jamie And Doug Have A New Show
Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner welcomed a new baby earlier this year, and now they’re starting a new TV show. The “Married at First Sight” couple will star in “Married at Fight Sight: Jamie and Doug Plus One” this December on Lifetime.
Jamie and Doug wed on “Married at First Sight” Season 1 in 2014. They met at the altar on their wedding day after three experts paired them together. While the show has resulted in several divorces, Jamie and Doug are one of the show’s success stories. They’ll celebrate their fourth anniversary in March.
While the original show only chronicled their first six weeks after marriage, the two shared another spinoff “Married at First Sight: The First Year” as well as the webseries “Married Life” with fellow “MAFS” alums Jason and Cortney Carrion. On the former, Doug struggled with being ready for fatherhood. It seems he was ready for a baby after the cameras stopped rolling.
Jamie and Doug have shared every step of their journey with fans on social media. Jamie shared the happiness of her first pregnancy in 2016, and she also didn’t hold back when she had a miscarriage. She shared her grieving process with fans, and on the date she was supposed to give birth to her first child, she found out she was pregnant again.
The second pregnancy was a healthy one, and Henley Grace Hehner was born Aug. 22. Jamie and Doug have been sharing plenty of photos on social media to show off their little bundle of joy.
Jamie and Doug are the first “Married at First Sight” couple to welcome a baby. They’re one of four couples still married. The Carrions from Season 1 remain happily married, and Season 5 couples Nate and Sheila Duhon as well as Anthony D’Amico and Ashley Petta are still together.
Us Weekly reports that “Married at Fight Sight: Jamie and Doug Plus One” premieres Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. EDT on Lifetime. The new show will be a good way for “MAFS” fans to get a fix while waiting for Season 6. There’s still no word on when the new season will premiere, but the show was casting in Boston last spring and is currently searching for couples in Dallas.
