Meet The ‘Married At First Sight’ Season 5 Cast [PHOTOS]
“Married at First Sight” is coming back and it’s bringing a group of new singles ready for marriage in Season 5. The reality show, which is moving to Lifetime, follows three couples that experts have matched. They look great together on paper, but they won’t find out if they’re actually soul mates until they get married. The couples meet each other at the altar on their wedding day.
“Married at First Sight” has had mixed results. Only three couples of the twelve couples matched on the show remain married. So who was brave enough to give this experiment a shot? Meet the “Married at First Sight” Season 5 cast below:
Ashley Petta
- Age: 30
- Job: Restaurant manager
- Seeking: A man who is “confident, charismatic, thoughtful and ambitious” and also wants children
- Parents: Her parents have had a successful, loving marriage for over 30 years.
Danielle DeGroot
- Age: 30
- Job: Dietician
- Seeking: A man who is smart, funny, “loves sports and isn’t afraid to take on a more masculine role in the relationship”
- Parents: Her parents have remained together her whole life, and she believes they’re a great example of a good marriage.
Sheila Downs
- Age: 31
- Job: Director of operations for a local school district
- Seeking: A career-focused man who can push her to be a better person and is a devout Christian and
- Parents: They’ve been married for 40 years, and Sheila considers their marriage to be perfect.
Anthony D’Amico
- Age: 33
- Job: Sales and marketing professional
- Seeking: An optimistic woman who is outgoing, intelligent, funny and generous.
- Parents: They’ve put him through a lot. Anthony’s parents have divorced and reunited multiple times throughout his life.
Cody Knapek
- Age: 26
- Job: Entrepreneur
- Seeking: A woman “who has a great personality, loves to laugh and is empathetic” as well as a positive thinker
- Parents: They divorced when Cody was 16, and he doesn’t feel like they made a huge effort to stay together.
Nate Duhon
- Age: 26
- Job: Business manager
- Seeking: A smart woman who wants children and shares his religious beliefs.
- Parents: He was raised by his mother, who taught him how to respect women.
They’ll be matched by the returning experts, sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz, communication expert Rachel DeAlto and Pastor Cal Roberson. To find out which singles become couples, tune in to the “Married at First Sight” Season 5 premiere Thursday, April 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
