Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Alleged Marriage In Trouble One Year Later, After Royal Exit

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's marriage was rumored to be in trouble a year ago.

According to a report from Woman’s Day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were having disagreements. Prince Harry and Markle stepped out together days before Valentine’s Day to attend a gala performance of “The Wider Earth” in support of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust & the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy at the Natural History Museum in London. Many noticed that Markle was all smiles but her husband looked unhappy.

An eyewitness told the publication that Prince Harry was there “in body but not in spirit.” Also, he wasn’t as tactile to his wife as he usually was. He seemed to be not in the mood, too, and not his usual self because Prince Harry didn’t bother to laugh and joke with the photographers.

“Harry seems distant like he has a lot on his mind,” the source said.

“This is probably the first time they've had an out and out disagreement, and Harry’s not coping well,” the insider added.

Saying that Prince Harry had a lot on his mind was an understatement, the insider said. The couple’s alleged fight was reportedly due to Markle’s move to use an American celebrity magazine to defend herself from the critics. It was a move deemed not appropriate for the royals. However, Markle could no longer take the backlash and wanted to be in charge of her own PR.

Royal correspondent Camilla Tominey said that it was unlikely for Markle’s friends to speak without her permission. It was also unknown if Prince Harry was aware of his wife’s desperate attempt to make a positive headline.

Meanwhile, last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. And just recently, the Queen banned them from using the word “royal” in their brand. The royal couple reacted by stating that the monarch has no jurisdiction of the word “royal” overseas. They also added that they had no intention of using “Sussex Royal” for their brand.

Prince Harry was recently spotted at the Edinburgh station sans Markle. He reportedly returned to the U.K. after flying to Canada and many felt that he didn’t look so well.
