Meghan Markle’s Due Date Earlier Than Expected; Betting Odds Suggest Next Month
Meghan Markle’s due date could be earlier than expected.
When the palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first baby, they didn’t confirm how far along Markle was in her pregnancy. The palace only said that the baby is due in Spring 2019.
But based on the latest betting odds, Prince Harry and Markle might welcome their baby earlier than expected. The latest betting odds suggest that the newest royal may arrive in February.
According to Nicholas Bieber, a journalist for Daily Star, February is the new favorite for Markle’s delivery date. This is due to the former Hollywood star’s confession during the royals’ annual Christmas Day walk when she let slip and told one fan, “We are nearly there.”
Paddy Power, who suspended the betting on royal twins gave February 6/4 odds from 8/1. “An increasing number of punters think the pair will give birth sooner than expected – just as they correctly predicted the engagement and the pregnancy,” a spokesman for Paddy Power said.
In December, Jane Mayhead, a senior trichology consultant at The Private Clinic of Harley Street, said that Markle was already six months along based on her appearance. The expert noticed Markle’s thicker locks.
According to Mayhead, pregnant women usually experience an increase in volume of their hair during the six-month mark due to the changes in hormones. These changes cause the growth cycle of the hair to increase and the hair is less frequently renewed and replaced, giving expectant moms thicker and shinier hair.
Mayhead predicted that Markle will be delivering her firstborn in March. Meanwhile, initial bets suggested that Prince Harry and Markle will have to wait until April to see their bundle of joy.
Spring in the U.K. will start from March 20 and will end on June 21. The odds that the couple would welcome their baby in April were 6/4. One source suggests that Markle will give birth early that month.
Prince Harry and Markle will be moving to their Frogmore home in Windsor months before their baby’s arrival. According to insiders, the couple is feuding with Prince William and Kate Middleton. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly don’t want to live near the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge anymore.
