Melania Trump, Michelle Obama Receive Different Treatments From Hosts,Twitter Reacts

Melania Trump and Michelle Obama received different treatment from Fox hosts.

The first lady of the United States is often pitted against the former first lady. Michelle and Melania were friendly whenever they crossed paths, but netizens couldn’t help but compare them. They also notice that the press treated the FLOTUS and the ex-FLOTUS differently.

A short clip showing how the Fox hosts treated Michelle and Melania was shared on Twitter. In the 59-second clip, one can see how the hosts mocked Barack Obama’s wife and praised President Donald Trump’s wife.

Michelle was called “Michelle ‘Merchant of Death’ Obama” and was described as “the bitter half of the Obama administration.” Another host said she is annoying while someone else said she needs to lose weight.

Meanwhile, Melania was described as someone “spectacular in every way” and a “dazzling representative of the United States.” They also considered the FLOTUS a woman of strength and someone that needs to be revered.

“The woman is beautiful inside and out,” Kellyanne Conway, White House counselor, said about Melania.

“Melania Trump is one of the classiest, most elegant, smartest women I know,” Judge Jeanine Pirro said about the FLOTUS.

Several netizens reacted with dismay to the comparison especially those who prefer Michelle over Melania.

“First of, a bigger bunch of nonsense I have not often beheld. Our last legitimate First Lady, Michelle Obama, was and is the epitome of what it means to work hard and strive to be and bring the perfect example of a successful American. She has given us light in this darkness,” @JonathanLipton3 commented.

Meanwhile, some directly slammed Fox.

“Hence why I do not bother tuning into fox “news”. I want to make my own INFORMED decisions based on fact. As a woman, this deeply disturbs me. I thought we were in the 21st century and not judging women based on the superficial. #ThursdayWisdom #truth,” @EAwrite wrote.

“Fox is the propaganda arm of the Administration. There’s no lie thst [sic] they won’t tell,” @MikeParentLEAP added.

This isn’t the only time Melania was praised but Michelle was criticized. Just recently, the first lady sported a sleeveless dress at the Daytona 500. Melania received praises for her outfit. However, when Michelle sported the same design and showed off her arms, the ex-FLOTUS caused an uproar, with many saying her outfit was “inappropriate.”
