The mystery around Kambe family deepens as an old case resurfaces in "The Millionaire Detective – Balance: Unlimited" Episode 7. The episode is titled "Money is the root of all evil."

The official website has released the summary for "The Millionaire Detective – Balance: Unlimited" Episode 7 revealing Sayuri Kambe’s relation to Daisuke Kambe. In the upcoming episode, Cho, who was a First Investigation Division member, talks about Sayuri’s murder case from the past. It turns out Sayuri is Daisuke's mother.

Toward the end of the last episode, the director shows Kato an old case file of Sayuri’s murder. It appears that in the forthcoming episodes, viewers will learn about Daisuke’s backstory of why he joined the forces.

In "The Millionaire Detective – Balance: Unlimited" Episode 7, Cho reveals he and Takei were investigating Sayuri’s murder and they entered the Kambe mansion to investigate. Cho states Shigemaru, who is the head of the family, was the prime suspect. Due to pressure from the higher authorities, the case was closed and it led to Cho’s demotion.

Cho is set to retire soon, but he wants to solve this mystery before leaving the force. The synopsis teases Haru Kato and Cho entering Kambe’s residence to find answers. Suzue Kambe and Daisuke continue their parallel investigation. It remains to be seen how Imura’s death in the last episode will impact the ongoing case.

"When Cho-san was a member of the First Investigation Division 19 years ago, he and Takei were assigned to investigate the murder of Daisuke’s mother, Sayuri. At the time, Cho-san entered the Kambe residence to investigate, and Shigemaru, the head of the Kambe family, surfaced as a suspect in the case. However, the investigative task force folded due to pressure from the top brass of the police, and Cho-san was demoted. Now back to the present, after the mysterious death of Imura, the woman that Daisuke brought into the police station, Kato and Cho-san’s suspicions deepen, so they decide to enter the Kambe residence," reads the official synopsis.
