‘Nashville’ Season 4 Spoilers: Premiere Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In Episode 1, ‘Can’t Let Go’? [VIDEO]
“Nashville” Season 4 will kick off with some major drama. A synopsis has been released and it looks like the premiere will pick up where the Season 3 finale left off. Season 4, episode 1, titled “Can’t Let Go,” will show Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) breaking down and Rayna (Connie Britton) discovering news about Deacon (Charles Esten).
“With Juliette's starring role in the Patsy Cline bio-pic, she is at a high point in her career, but is hitting a personal low,” Spoiler TV’s synopsis reads. Juliette will attend her film premiere and, as previously reported, sing a duet with Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler. However, it looks like spending all of her time on her career will not distract her from her postpartum depression and her crumbling marriage.
Avery (Jonathan Jackson) will need some help with Juliette gone all the time. “Meanwhile Avery, separated from Juliette, tends to baby Cadence at his parents' home in Texas,” the summary says. Do they mean physically separated or have Juliette and Avery officially decided to take some time apart?
They aren’t the only couple about whom “Nashville” fans have to worry. Rayna’s man Deacon might not survive the premiere. At the end of the finale, Deacon and his sister Beverly (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson) were both in surgery for a liver transplant. One of their heart monitors flat lined, but it wasn’t clear whose. Audiences were left wondering if Deacon would die, but the synopsis doesn’t give many clues about the outcome.
“Rayna, along with her family and friends, grapple with the chilling aftermath of Deacon’s liver transplant,” the synopsis teases. A death could be “chilling,” but so could long-lasting side effects. Audiences will have to tune in to find out if he survives.
The Season 4 premiere synopsis leaves out plenty of characters, but the trailer includes a few who were missing. Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) have quite a few scenes in the video, and it looks like they’ll be getting even closer in the premiere.
