NeNe Leakes Leaving 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta’? Bravo Star Says She's ‘Over It’
A major casting shakeup could be in store for "The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Star NeNe Leakes, who has been with the show since 2008, says after coming under fire from all directions during Season 7, she’s fed up. As you may recall NeNe wound up at the center of much of the show's drama, despite her many attempts to mediate the various on-going feuds within the group.
According to Us Weekly, the 47-year-old is “over it.” During a recent interview she told the magazine it was unlikely she would return to the Bravo show unless it was recast. The reality-TV and Broadway actress claims many of the ladies on “RHOA” are “willing to do anything,” and those aren’t the type of people she wants to work with.
“I would be happy to come back if we could find the right girls,” she said. “If the show stays this way, I can’t see myself doing it… who wants to work in a stressful environment?”
Although she had not officially decided whether or not she’ll stay with the show, NeNe is currently focusing her energy on other things. She and former enemy and "RHOA" co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann are gearing up to hit the road with Bravo’s cameras in a spin-off series of their own. The show, titled “The Road to Riches,” will follow the affluent reality stars as they traverse the country in search of adventure.
During the series the network claims the ladies will be pushed “out of their comfort zones.” Bravo did not release any other details about what viewers should expect. It is not yet known when the spin-off is expected to air.
"Real Housewives of Atlanta" is in the midst of wrapping up its seventh season. Part two of the "RHOA" reunion show airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
