Nikki Bella And John Cena Set Wedding Date Months After Engagement

After months of admitting that she has been moving rather slowly in planning her wedding to John Cena, Nikki Bella has finally taken some major steps in making sure her special day becomes a reality.

On Thursday, the “Total Divas” star revealed that not only have she and her fiancé set a wedding date but she has also picked out a dress. Joined by her famous twin Brie Bella for Comic Con where they appeared on the WWE and Mattel joint panel, the wrestler spilled several details about her upcoming nuptials following her April engagement to Cena.

“So I do have a date now, but I can’t say,” Bella told E! News. “But we finally came up with a date…and I did find the dress!” she revealed.

Unlike other brides who at times have to go through several dresses before finding the right one, when Bella chose her dress, which is “stunning” according to her sister, it was a rather easy decision.

“You know, what’s crazy is when I was at the spring fashion shows and I attended Marchesa and when I looked at that line, like she got me when they handed we a glass of Perrier Jouet and a macaroon. I was like, ‘OK, yes,’” she explained.

The “Total Bellas” star admitted that she instantly knew that she found her wedding gown the moment she laid eyes on it despite doubts from others. “And then I saw this dress and I was like, ‘That’s Princess Grace Kelly.’ Like that is what I want so bad. And so all the girls warned me, ‘Just so you know, like even though you love it sometimes when you try something on it doesn’t work.’ I put it on and I was like this is the one,” she said.

Bella previously admitted that she intended on taking the wedding planning slow so she and Cena could enjoy their special day together. “It’s been crazy the past few weeks since getting engaged. I know I want to take my time, like, at least maybe do a year out. We’re still trying to plan the date,” Bella told Entertainment Tonight.

“It’s hard with our schedules, ‘cause I want John and I to be able to enjoy it for a week,” she added.

Cena reiterated her sentiments about taking their time to plan out the wedding during an interview with Complex. “We are both super, super busy and it just has to be right. I really, really want to say I hope it’s gonna be next year sometime, but also I want to do it when it’s right for Nicole and she can get the most out of it as well,” he told the magazine.

Although Bella and Cena are both dedicated to making sure their special day is perfect no matter how long it takes to plan, it looks like the couple is already taking the steps necessary to make sure their wedding happens sooner rather than later.
