'One Piece' 1004 Spoilers Tease Shifting Alliances, Betrayal Within Kaido's Ranks

"One Piece" Chapter 1004 teases another plot twist that could gravely tilt the balance in favor of the samurai's side.

The upcoming chapter of "One Piece" could show a remarkably significant number of Kaido's army changing their allegiance. Thanks to the insiders within the "One Piece" community, fans now have an idea that O-tama is the crucial trump card the samurai didn't know it possessed. The adorable but brave little girl from the region of Kuri has a special talent that may be menial to some but could be vital in the ongoing war in Onigashima.

Tama has eaten an unnamed Paramecia type of Devil Fruit, which enables her to create dango from her cheeks. Her dangoes could not quell hunger but they allow Tama to tame animals who have eaten it. According to "One Piece" Chapter 1004 spoilers, the headliner Speed is the reason why Tama reached Onigashima.

Tama's appearance in Onigashima remained a mystery in the previous chapters. She surfaced at the nick of time and saved Nami and Usopp from Ulti and PageOne. Apparently, she was on the island alongside her friends' Komachiyo and Hihimaru courtesy of Speed's ship.

The spoilers also note that the Gifters and headliners are eating dangoes to become Tama's allies. It turns out that the headliner Speed is going around the Onigashima castle, giving out dangoes to Gifters and claiming that those are special recovery medicine from Queen the Plague. Additionally, Gazelleman and Daifugou are going around doing the same, which is probably Tama's idea.

Usopp, the sniper of the Straw Hats, is apparently shooting enemies using dangoes. During his encounter with Sasaki and Kaido's armored army, Usopp used dangoes and turned the entire army into allies. This piece of information did not come as a surprise to many fans. A few months earlier, there was a fan theory detailing Tama's role in the Onigashima War.

Oda foreshadowed her critical role in the earlier part of the Wano Country Arc when she tamed the headliner Speed. It is not yet known if there is a limit on the number of dangoes that Tama could create. The bigger question is if her dango is powerful enough to tame Kaido, the strongest creature in the world.

Oda loves to surprise his readers and one of the reasons why fans love "One Piece" is because of the mangaka's unconventional way of telling its story.

"One Piece" Chapter 1004 is scheduled to arrive on Feb. 14.
