‘The Originals’ Joseph Morgan Engaged To ‘Vampire Diaries’ Actress Persia White

Prepare for a supernatural wedding. “The Originals” star Joseph Morgan is engaged – to “Vampire Diaries” actress Persia White!

Fans of the “Vampire Diaries” and its spinoff show “The Originals” are very familiar with Joseph Morgan. The actor plays Klaus, a villain and original hybrid who first showed up in Mystic Falls. His character was such a hit that The CW launched a spinoff, “The Originals,” which followed Klaus and his family of original vampires as they try to take back the city of New Orleans.

While on set at “The Vampire Diaries,” Morgan met Persia White – who played Bonnie’s witch mom turned vampire. The pair hit it off, and according to Wet Paint is now engaged.

“We really appreciate those of you who have supported our wild, creative, passionate and unlikely relationship,” the couple said in a statement. “We have found a rare and precious thing; true love. We wish you all the same.”

Joseph Morgan and Persia White’s relationship became known at the 2013 Upfronts last May when they were photographed holding hands. The pair kept quiet about their romance, but Morgan did boast about their relationship in September, telling Huffpost Live that she’s “great” and that he’s “very happy.”

Morgan took to Twitter to address his engagement, posting: “Thanks for all the love.” His fiancé retweeted his message.
