‘The Originals’ Spoilers: Episode 2 Synopsis For ‘Vampire Diaries’ Spinoff Leaks Online; What Will Happen In ‘House Of The Rising Son’?
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD! Do NOT read if you have not watched the backdoor pilot of “The Originals.”
You ready to double the vampire drama with the CW’s new series, “The Originals”? The “Vampire Diaries” spinoff show is set to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 3, with a special retelling of its backdoor pilot, and while the episode won’t reveal too much new information we’ve got some scoop on episode 2.
Episode 2 is called “House of the Rising Son” and will introduce everyone’s favorite (and only) blonde Original vampire -- Rebekah (Claire Holt)!
“Vampire Diaries” fans will remember that Rebekah initially told her brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies) that she won’t go to New Orleans to restore their family. However, her plans will somehow change because she’ll arrive in New Orleans in episode 2 at the “insistence” of Elijah. Upon her arrival, Rebekah will meet Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), the werewolf that her brother Klaus (Joseph Morgan) had a steamy one-night stand with. And Hayley has some “unexpected news” for Rebekah … possibly that she’s going to become an aunt in nine months.
Meanwhile, Klaus is determined to uncover Marcel’s (Charles Michael Davis) secret weapon. Concerned over her brother’s plan, Rebekah will seek help from witch Sophie (Daniella Pineda) after believing that he’s up to no good. But after running into Marcel, Rebekah is “reminded of all the anger and disappointment Klaus has caused her throughout the years.”
The synopsis teases that Hayley will get herself into a troublesome situation, while Marcel will enlist the help of Davina (Danielle Campbell) to help in “how own dangerous plan.”
“The Originals” will have a special premiere on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 9 p.m. following the season 5 premiere of “The Vampire Diaries.” The spinoff will then move to its permanent time slot on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
