Pennsylvania Couple Filmed Themselves Sexually Assaulting Newborn Multiple Times, Shared Videos Online

A couple in Pennsylvania was arrested for sexually assaulting an infant and filming the acts over the course of several months.

The couple, identified as 25-year-old Wyatt Andrew Jones and 20-year-old Marisel Toro, first assaulted the baby in January when she was one month old. They went on to assault the infant multiple times till April. The couple also recorded the acts on their phones and shared the videos on a messaging app called Kik, charging documents released Monday stated, York Dispatch reported.

The incident came to light last week when someone came across the videos and notified the York City Police. Following this, the investigators served a search warrant for the couple’s residence and found multiple items that served as evidence. The officers also found the infant sleeping in a small bassinet beside the bed, CBS 21 reported.

The couple was taken into custody from their residence. During interrogation, they confessed to sexually assaulting the infant and sharing the videos on the app. It remained unclear if the infant was the couple’s daughter.

The charging documents stated while Jones sexually assaulted the infant, Toro gave him ideas for the “sexual acts.”

"She advised that she did it because she knew it would please Jones," the documents stated.

They appeared in court Monday and were charged with multiple offenses including child pornography, dissemination of child pornography, indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child.

The couple was denied bail as the judge felt they were a risk to public safety. They were set to appear in court again on May 10.

The incident comes less than a month after a Philadelphia man was arrested after he had sex with a 14-year-old girl, and shared a video of the act on social media. The accused, a drug dealer identified as 19-year-old Bahodir Jamolov, had sex with the teen he sold drugs to. He surrendered himself to the police after a warrant was issued for his arrest, and was charged with statutory sexual assault of someone 4 to 8 years younger, and possessing child pornography among other charges.
