‘The Perfect Pairing’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast

Hallmark Channel is continuing its slate of new 2022 films with its newest entry in the “New Year, New Movies” lineup, “The Perfect Pairing,” starring Nazneen Contractor and Brennan Elliott.

Fans will certainly recognize both stars, who have appeared in Hallmark films before. Contractor, who may also be known for her roles as Zara Hallam on “Ransom” and Synara San on “Star Wars Resistance,” previously starred in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries title “The Christmas Ring,” as well as the Hallmark Channel title “A Winter Getaway.”

Elliott, who may also be recognizable for his role as Graham on the series “UnREAL,” is also a presence who will certainly be familiar to fans. Not only has he starred as Logan O’Connor in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries “Crossword Mysteries” films, but he also starred in that network’s “Christmas at Grand Valley” and “Christmas Encore.” On Hallmark Channel, he has also starred in recent films such as “All of My Heart: Inn Love,” “All of My Heart: The Wedding,” “All Summer Long,” “Christmas in Vienna” and “Open By Christmas.”

This will be the first time these two team up for a project together, however. So what can fans expect? Let’s find out.

“Influential and anonymous food and wine critic Christina (Contractor) finds herself at a winery she panned in the past,” a synopsis reads. “She hopes to leave before anyone finds out who she is, but she instead slips on ice and hits her head. The Hollingbrook family, led by single father Michael (Elliott) graciously takes Christina in while she recovers and tries to jog her memory.”

While staying with the family, Christina becomes involved with the family’s ventures and grows closer to Michael in the process, as he prepares to take on a new venture that could make or break everything for his family.

“In the process, Christina helps the Hollingbrooks prepare for their annual wine tapping party, which includes Michael’s risky passion project, ice wine,” the synopsis reads.

However, will her memory return and her identity be exposed and threaten everything?

“The Perfect Pairing” premieres Saturday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
