‘Power’ Season 5 Spoilers: Episode 4 Synopsis Released; Watch ‘Second Chances’ Promo

Ghost wants what’s best for Tommy, but on “Power” Season 5, episode 4, he may take things too far when it comes to protecting his friend.

“Tensions run high when Jason (Mike Dopud) returns,” the synopsis for “Second Chances” teases. Although Jason isn’t featured in the Starz promo, his return will be terrible news for Ghost (Omari Hardwick), Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Kanan (Cutis “50 Cent” Jackson). Jason previously told the men he would kill them if they didn’t take down the Jimenez.

The leaders of the notorious cartel are still alive and well, which means Tommy, Ghost and Kanan have not held up their end of the deal. Will the men finally take down the Cartel or will they convince Jason to give them more time to complete the assassinations?

“Ghost warns Tommy about Teresi (William Sadler) while he hatches a plan with Kanan to rid Tommy of his new family,” the synopsis for “Power” Season 5, episode 4 says.

In the “Second Chances” promo video, Ghost asks Tommy what Teresi knows, but Tommy believes Teresi can be trusted because he is family. Ghost then reminds Tommy that he just met Teresi, whereas he has always been a part of Tommy’s life.

Elsewhere in the Starz promo, Ghost tells Kanan he has plans to make Tommy appear too dangerous to be associated with the mob. Ghost previously told Kanan he doesn’t believe Tommy’s new family will truly look out for him and he’s right.

Viewers know Teresi is just using Tommy’s connection to Ghost in order to gain information about their organization. Teresi plans to share that information with the feds so he can be fully released from prison. Ghost doesn’t trust the old man and wants him out of Tommy’s life, but will his plan to protect his friend destroy their relationship?

“Angela (Lela Loren) gets closer to arresting the Jimenez Cartel,” the synopsis states. Angela believes she can prove to her office that she is dedicated to her job if she brings down the Jimenez Cartel.

In the promo, Dre (Rotimi) tells Alicia (Ana de la Reguera) that there seems to be a setback. Dre has been trying to prove that he will be a great partner for the Jimenez organization, but informing them of another setback that may have been caused by Angela could put both of their lives in danger.

“Kanan forms an unlikely alliance,” the synopsis teases. In the promo, Cristobal (Matt Cedeño) appears concerned as he explains if Ghost, Tommy and Kanan find out about something, they will kill them.

While it is unclear what Cristobal is referring to, it appears he isn’t interested in paying the price for what has been done. Will Cristobal’s fear drive him to form an alliance with one of Dre’s enemy?

Although Kanan is supposed to be working with Ghost and Tommy to kill Dre, he also has plans on the side that involve betraying his allies and taking over their business. While Kanan already has his own crew, teaming up with the head of the Hermanos Tianos could be exactly what he needs when it’s time to turn the tables on Tommy and Ghost.

Will Kanan team up with Cristobal or is there somebody else looking to join forces?

“Power” Season 5, episode 4 airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on Starz.
