Prince Charles could cut the funding for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after they undermined him.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in hot water again after an insider claimed that they “single-handedly modernized the monarchy.” According to Dan Wootton of The Sun, many are urging the Prince of Wales to take actions against Prince Harry and Markle and the future king could cut the funding for the Sussexes.

“Harry and Meghan are partly funded by the sovereign grant and partly by Charles. He could threaten to pull funding. Meghan doesn’t have much of her own wealth. Harry has got about 20million in the bank. If they behave in a disruptive and disreputable manner, that tap will be turned off,” the senior aide said.

Prince Harry and Markle reportedly felt that the royal institution had not been very supportive to the new American entrant. Also, Markle’s decision to speak against the British stiff upper lift mentality as “damaging” in her emotional interview with Tom Bradby had been used against her.

Prince Harry and Markle’s statements on the ITV documentary were deemed an attack to the monarchy. The members of the royal family do not wear their heart on their sleeve.

“There is no other way to take such a comment than as a direct attack on an institution run by Harry’s grandmother and father. Charles in particular feels echoes of his concern for Diana, someone he feared for right up until her death but never felt he could help,” Wootton wrote commenting on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s statements.

“Harry has most certainly inherited his mum’s ability to feel emotion and pain deeply — traits not celebrated in the Royal Family.“

Prince Harry and Markle’s emotional interview for ITV’s documentary aired while the Prince of Wales was very busy touring Japan. According to a royal source, the couple undermined the future king in a similar way they undermined the works of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Robert Jobson also said that the royal aids were “baffled and infuriated” at the timing of Prince Harry and Markle’s interview. Many of them felt that it overshadowed Prince William and Middleton’s achievements in their last days in Pakistan.
