Prince Harry ‘Desperate,’ ‘Terrified’ Of Losing Meghan Markle; Begged Duchess For This

Prince Harry was terrified of losing Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry and Markle were introduced by a mutual friend when she was in London. Insiders claimed that it was love at first sight. They both had packed worked schedules and were living in different countries but their long-distance relationship endured. They reportedly manage to see each other in London or Toronto every two weeks.

However, it didn’t take long for lovestruck Prince Harry to ask his then-girlfriend to move with him to London. According to Phil Dampier of Daily Star, he was terrified of losing the actress.

“Friends say the royal romeo is terrified of losing the 35-year-old American beauty now their six-month affair has been made public,” Dampier wrote.

A close pal of Prince Harry admitted that the royal prince wanted to keep their romance a secret for as long as possible. His two exes Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas were not able to cope with the spotlight of dating a royal and at the time, Prince Harry was “desperate to not lose Meghan.”

“The good thing is that she is an actress who enjoys the limelight and she seems well able to deal with pressure. But it’s not easy when you are on the other side of the pond,” the source continued.

Prince Harry and Markle were able to keep their romance a secret for six months. According to royal biographer Katie Nicholl in her book “Harry: Life, Loss and Love,” when the story broke that they were dating, Prince Harry happened to be with Markle in Toronto. They were taken by surprise how it leaked to the press and were warned by his aides that soon he and Markle would be under siege.

The palace released a story that Prince Harry canceled a flight to Toronto to make it look like he was in the U.K. However, regardless of the reports, the media still descended on to Markle’s home.

Prince Harry and Markle hide in her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s plush residence. During their stay at the Mulroney’s house, Markle witnessed how good Prince Harry was with the kids.

Just recently, there were rumors that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage is on the rocks. Chelsy reportedly flew to London to check on Prince Harry.
