Prince William was rumored to have cheated on his wife, Kate Middleton, with their good friend, Rose Hanbury. The speculations heightened after it was reported that the royal couple ended their friendship with Hanbury.

And a few months ago, eagle-eyed royal watchers also noticed that Hanbury wasn’t wearing her wedding ring at the state banquet attended by Prince William, Middleton, and the other members of the royal family. Additionally, it was reported that Hanbury and her husband didn’t sit together at the formal gathering.

On the online forum site Quora, one royal fan asked about the most controversial rumor other royal watchers have heard about the second in line to the throne. Deanna Eppers, an ardent follower of the royal family, said that the rumor about Prince William having an affair with Hanbury is unfounded.

“Oh, you’re trying to find out if HRH The Duke of Cambridge had an affair? He didn’t. Rose Hanbury is apparently super flirty with all men, but she is a married woman. To a very wealthy man with a title. No affair,” the royal fan said.

Eppers added that Prince William is a smart man and he knows what affairs and cheating did to his parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana. As such, he would never do something like that his wife.

“Plus, Diana told a teenage William that when he finds his love, he is to protect it. Prince William learned a lot from mummy and papa. No affair is ever worth the fallout,” she added.

Meanwhile, there have also been some rumors suggesting that Hanbury wasn’t the only person that Prince William had an affair with while he was dating Middleton.

In 2014, the Duke of Cambridge reportedly snubbed the Duchess of Cambridge in favor of Jecca Craig. The latter was a good friend of the future King.

“Kate didn’t know whether they had been romantically involved or not, but she noted that Jecca had been seated at the head table next to William, whereas Kate had to raise her glass to toast the prince from afar,” royal author Katie Nicholl said.
