Prince William ‘Family Man’ Label, ‘Cheating’ Mocked On Twitter Amid Prince Harry Exit

Prince William and Prince Harry seemed to have very different personalities when they were much younger.

Before the Duke of Sussex tied the knot, he was depicted as a playboy because he dated a slew of women before finally settling down with Meghan Markle.

Prince William didn’t date as many women as his brother, and he was in a committed relationship with Kate Middleton for a decade before they finally tied the knot in 2011.

On Twitter, one royal fan claimed that the roles may have been reserved. After Prince Harry quit the royal family, he was praised for supporting his wife and prioritizing Markle’s needs. Prince William, on the other hand, was mocked for cheating on the Duchess of Cambridge.

“We used to see Prince Harry as a player and Prince William as the family man. While all the time Harry was single and William in a committed relationship cheating on his girlfriend (who is now his wife and still cheats),” Twitter user @TheonlyArantxa said.

Some royal fans also defended Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to step back from their roles as senior royals.

“Because Prince Harry loves and supports his wife that makes him emasculated? The only toxic thing there is is the idea that men are lesser because they are supportive of their wives. I respect him, unlike cheating Prince William,” Twitter user @AussieRavenclaw said.

“Has she [Markle] done anything worse than Prince Andrew or even Prince William’s cheating? The constant scathing attacks are why Prince Harry is doing everything to protect his family. He wouldn’t be the first royal putting his nuclear family first,” Twitter user @ofori03 said.

Meanwhile, Prince William also made headlines this week after he was photographed looking somber after attending the crisis talks with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince Harry.

The Duke of Cambridge is driving his private car outside Sandringham, and he has a glum expression on his face. Hours later, he attended a royal engagement, where he was spotted doing sign language.
