Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released separate statements about human nature and spirit amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement on Instagram to encourage everyone amid the pandemic. The couple shared that during these uncertain times, people should unite.
“We need each other for truth, for support, and to feel less alone during a time that can honestly feel quite scary,” the Sussexes wrote.
“There are so many around the world who need support right now, who are working tirelessly to respond to this crisis behind the scenes, on the frontline, or at home. Our willingness, as a people, to step up in the face of what we are all experiencing with COVID-19 is awe-inspiring. This moment is as true a testament there is to the human spirit.”
Prince William has also released a statement about the same issue. On Wednesday, the Duke of Cambridge also took to Instagram and shared how the National Emergencies Trust work with local charities and distribution partners to deliver financial support and ensure that it will reach those who need it the most.
“Whenever and wherever adversity strikes, the people of the UK have a unique ability to pull together,” Prince William said.
“The way that local communities support those affected shows the very best of our values and human nature. The public’s desire to help in the wake of tragedy needs to be managed and channelled in the best possible way, which is why the establishment of the National Emergencies Trust was so important.”
In the clip, Kate Middleton’s husband also expressed his gratitude for the existence of the National Emergencies Trust because the organization ensures that support reaches those who need it the most across the U.K. as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry, Markle, Prince William and Middleton reunited on March 9 for the Commonwealth Day service. However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accused of snubbing the Sussexes because they barely acknowledged them. In fact, Middleton did not even look at her sister- and brother-in-law.
