The fab four - Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were noticeably absent at the wedding of Princess Beatrice. According to the Harper's Bazaar, their absence could be due to the pandemic.
Princess Beatrice had a small wedding "in keeping with the unique circumstances while enabling them to celebrate their wedding with their closest family." Thus, there was no space for the fab four and their children.
Per Town & Country, only 20 people were invited to the wedding ceremony.
"It was, for the most part, his and her immediate family," an insider told Town & Country.
Meanwhile, a different source informed Harper's Bazaar that the Sussexes personally reached out to the bride and groom to send their best wishes. On the other hand, the Cambridges congratulated the newlyweds on social media.
“Congratulations to HRH Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi who were married in a small private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor on Friday,” the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote in an Instagram Story.
Meanwhile, according to Page Six, Prince Andrew was seemingly nowhere in sight during the event. In the photos released by the palace, the newlyweds were accompanied by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and there was no photo that featured the disgraced royal.
However, even if he was not in the photos, Prince Philip was reportedly present. According to Daily Mail, Prince Andrew accompanied the bride to the church and down the aisle. The guests reportedly stayed overnight at Royal Lodge, the Duke and Duchess of York's grand Windsor home.
The palace also confirmed that Prince Andrew was there, but he was not shown in the photos.
"The ceremony was attended by Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, the couple’s parents and siblings. The Bride was walked down the aisle by her Father. Mr. Mapelli Mozzi’s son Wolfie was best man and pageboy," the palace said in a statement as quoted by Harper's Bazaar.
