Throwback Thursday: Remember When Beyoncé Sang The Theme Song For Disney's 'The Proud Family'?
It’s officially Thursday! And you know what that means, right? Today’s the day where your social media accounts flood with Throwback Thursday photos from way back when. But instead of flipping through more adorable images of your BFF’s baby pics how about you check out this fabulous video of Beyoncé from 2001.
The Queen Bee is no stranger to TBT. She’s posted countless photos from her sweet school picture in 1990 to a sexy snap of her modeling on the cover of the 2007 issue of Sports Illustrated. But out of all Bey’s throwbacks the video of her singing the theme song to Disney Channel’s “The Proud Family” with her sister Solange and Destiny’s Child is by far our favorite:
“It’s really cool. It’s a great channel for kids,” Beyoncé spoke of the Disney channel in the clip before breaking out a few notes for the animated television series. Bey’s voice can be heard in more than just in the opening credits of the show that concluded in 2005. Blue Ivy’s mom also took on a guest role voicing the character of Chanel's younger sibling (Chanel was played by Beyoncé's sister, Solange).
After all the gossip that’s been surrounding the rumored deterioration of Beyoncé’s family it’s nice to walk down memory lane to a time where the word "divorce" wasn’t correlated the Grammy-winning pop singer’s name. So, instead of participating in the office pool of whether or not Beyoncé is about to split with Jay-Z or is pregnant with another little superstar, just sit back and enjoy this TBT video of Beyoncé serenading us with a catchy Disney tune.
