"Riverdale" Season 5 Episode 1 is finally here. The CW's teen drama returns with its highly-anticipated season that features the graduation and the seven-year time jump.

Fans would remember that "Riverdale" Season 4 ended abruptly after the production was shut down due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The show concluded with just 19 episodes instead of 22. Nevertheless, the show will pick up from where it left off and tie-in the loose-threads.

"Riverdale" Season 5 Episode 1 is titled "Climax" and it features the grand prom night and Riverdale High School's graduation day. Betty (Lili Reinhart), Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Archie (KJ Apa), Veronica, (Camila Mendes), Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and others will gather together for one last time before parting ways for seven years. Yes, that's how many years they will spend apart before returning to the mystery-ridden town.

During this, several secrets unveil, which includes the discovery of a secret underground for red-band screenings. Meanwhile, Archie participates in the biggest match yet that will decide his future. At the same time, Cheryl prepares for the grand night when she discovers the darkest secret about her girlfriend Toni (Vanessa Morgan).
