The royal family has been warned ahead of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s possible revenge.
Princess Diana’s former private secretary Patrick Jephson shared his thoughts about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after they carried their final engagement as royals. Prince Harry and Markle joined the royal family on March 9 for the Commonwealth service. It was their final duty as senior members of the royal family.
Prince Harry and Markle have returned to Canada to reunite with their son, Archie. The duchess left the U.K. after the Commonwealth Day service. Meanwhile Prince Harry stayed behind to attend more meetings at Buckingham Palace, but he was spotted on Thursday traveling to Victoria International Airport.
Now that Prince Harry and Markle are free from their royal duties, Jephson warned the royal family what could happen. According to him, the members of the Firm should not underestimate the pair’s “media blitz.”
“There may be much to mock about Megxit but the joke will be on the Windsors if they underestimate the media blitz Meghan and Harry will soon be free to unleash,” he wrote for The Times.
“Sussex revenge for perceived slights and injustices could be rapidly launched from American chat show studios, and who will be surprised when Meghan: Her True Story tops the Christmas bestsellers?”
Meanwhile, an insider also told New Idea that Markle was already planning to take her revenge against the entire royal family. The former “Suits” actress is allegedly planning to tape a blockbuster movie to “give an accurate account of her time as a royal.”
Markle wants to let the world see that the royals could not silence or intimidate her. This is also her way to gain closure.
“She plans to document the highs, the lows of royal life and the real reason why she and Harry decided to walk away – as well as her early life in America and Canada and how they came to fall in love in the first place,” the insider said. “[A]nd there’s nothing to legally prevent her from documenting her time in Buckingham Palace.”
Jephson believed that Prince Harry and Markle have hit the House of Windsor’s Achilles heel when they refused to be threatened with Her Majesty’s displeasure. A few weeks ago, the Queen stopped them from using the “Sussex Royal” brand. Prior to that, the royal couple reportedly sought global trademark for the brand.
However, after the Queen discouraged them from using it, they fired back by releasing a statement on their website. Prince Harry and Markle said that the Queen has no jurisdiction over the word “royal” overseas. They added that they had no plans to use it anyway.
Queen Elizabeth II was praised for her decision, with many saying that she outplayed Markle and Prince Harry. Andy Barr, a retail expert, also said that it was ironic for Prince Harry and Markle to use the royal brand when they were trying to escape from its clutches.
