‘Salem’ TV Series Spoilers: Season 3, Episode 9 Synopsis, Promo Released Online For ‘Saturday Morning’ [VIDEO]
The end is near. WGN America series “Salem” has only two episodes left to air.
In the last aired episode, John Alden (Shane West) successfully killed The Sentinel (Samuel Roukin) using a magical dagger. Unfortunately, although he died, Tituba (Ashely Madekwe) was busy trying to resurrect the devil (Oliver Bell) in episode 8. He was torn limb by limb by Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) and the hive of Essex witches.
What will happen in Season 3, episode 9?
Sebastian’s (Joe Doyle) mother Countess Marburg (Lucy Lawless) will continue to torment him. She will remind him that Mary doesn’t love him. Marburg drank the last of Mary’s blood. As a result, Mary experienced spells of dizziness before collapsing. It is unclear if she just fainted or her nemesis did something far worse to the once powerful witch.
Moreover, in the upcoming episode of “Salem,” Sebastian will have to figure out how to dismantle the clock which holds the red mercury. On Sunday, the deadly device, which is fitted with a clock, will automatically unleash the red mercury in Salem. The potent, highly volatile substance has the power to destroy cities.
Shockingly, the promo of “Saturday Morning” reveals that Anne Hale (Tamzin Merchant) will open the door to hell and let the devil walk on Earth again. Mary’s son tried to put Anne in a trance and get her to open the door, but Cotton Mather (Seth Gabel) arrived just in time to stop her.
The synopsis (via TVGuide) of Season 3, episode 9 reads, “Everyone reveals their true colors and some hearts get broken in the process.”
“Salem” fans are still waiting for Lawless to make an appearance as the vivacious and evil Countess. Given that this is the last season of the WGN series; it would be fitting to have her back on the show.
Catch “Salem” Season 3, episode 9 on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 9 p.m. EST on WGN America.
