Salma Hayek Graces Cover Of Elle US’s Women In Hollywood Issue
Salma Hayek graced the cover of Elle US’s most-anticipated Women in Hollywood issue. The special edition of Elle will hit newsstands in the U.S. nationwide on Oct. 20. The Mexican actress smolders on the cover of the magazine in a cleavage-baring little black dress.
The “Desperado” actress wears a double-face wool dress from Stella McCartney. She has been photographed by Paola Kudacki and styled by Simon Robins for the high fashion shoot. The 49-year-old star has accessorized with diamond and platinum rings from Harry Winston.
Her raven-colored locks are styled in a wet look, as they are worn down over her shoulders. She wears complimentary make-up consisting of smoky eyes and topped off with a swipe of brown lipstick. Her natural make-up highlighted her glowing complexion and striking features.
Hayek oozed sex appeal in the picture as she struck a sultry pose and fixed the camera with a seductive stare. She put her famous assets on full display as she covered Elle US magazine’s Women In Hollywood issue.
“I knew she was misunderstood. I wanted to set the record straight – and inspire other women with the one thing I knew about her, which was her courage to be unique,” said the actress on playing the role of iconic painter Frida Kahlo in the 2002 blockbuster film.
Meanwhile her co-star in the film Alfred Molina, who played Frida’s husband Diego, praised the starlet’s greatness and business prowess. He said that if Hayek would have been white and male, she would have been bigger than Harvey Weinstein.
Molina added that the actress was a great businesswoman and she was creative in a way that surprised people.
The acclaimed actress was one of eight powerful women selected to front the fashion magazine’s November issue. Hayek joined fellow thespians like Amy Schumer, Dakota Johnson, Alicia Vikander, Carey Mulligan, Kate Winslet, Ava DuVernay and Gena Rowlands also of Elle’s most-anticipated issue of the year.
Hayek attended the Gucci Spring/Summer 2016 show held at the Milan Fashion Week on Sept. 23 along with her husband Francois-Henri Pinault, CEO of luxury brand Kering. The stylish actress wore a brown leather skirt which she paired with a vibrant yellow knit jumper from Gucci Resort 2016 collection. She opted for matching platform heels and accessorized with oversized sunglasses and a red leather clutch.
