Scott Disick seems to be relying on his son Reign for emotional support following Kourtney Kardashian's engagement. The "Flip It Like Disick" star shared on his Instagram Story Wednesday how he's been spending quality time with the child after his ex got engaged to Travis Barker over the weekend.

In his post, Disick shared a photo of him and his son spending time together after school, hanging out on separate sofas at home with Reign still in his school uniform. Disick hinted that Reign has been his emotional support as he wrote that he was having an "after-school break down with Reign."

Disick was in an on-and-off relationship with Kardashian from 2005 to 2015. They share three children — Mason, Penelope and Reign. The couple, who never tied the knot, have been co-parenting their kids since their final split in 2015.

Kardashian got engaged to Barker on the beach of Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Montecito, California, over the weekend after about eight months of being together. There to celebrate with them were Kardashian's sisters and Barker's children, Alabama, 15, and Landon, 18.

Disick has not yet officially reacted to the news about Kardashian's engagement. However, a source told E! Online that the TV personality and socialite was "beside himself" when he heard of it. The insider also revealed that Disick "knew it was coming" but he was "still really sad about it and is feeling low."

Before Kardashian's engagement, Disick was linked to model Amelia Hamlin. However, they ended things in September after 11 months of being together. Their breakup came after a DM scandal involving Kardashian, in which Disick's DMs to Kardashian's ex Younes Bendjima mocking the Poosh founder's PDA-filled romance with Barker went viral.

Another source told E! Online that since his split from Hamlin, Disick has been prioritizing his kids.

"It's the first time he's been single in a long time," the source said as per the outlet. "He is taking it all in stride. He likes having someone in his life but is not in a rush."
