Shiba Inu, the dog-themed meme coin, is at this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC) as former Activision VP William Volk represents the community's upcoming Shiba Game.
The American mobile game developer and publisher William David Volk confirmed this on Twitter and wrote: "On my way to GDC to talk about Shibu Inu games. We’re doing a get-together on Wednesday night at 8. See me at the show for invites. #GDC22 #SHIB."
This year's GDC runs from March 21 to 23 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. According to Volk, he will not only represent Shiba Games but also talk about it at the conference.
The GDC is an annual event for video game developers, which includes networking events, expos and awards shows. Attendees are usually key personalities in different fields related to the video games industry.
This includes game designers, programmers, marketing professionals, studio managers, visual artists, vendor companies, virtual and augmented reality creators, sponsors and recruiters from all over the world.
The Shiba Inu community is delighted with Shiba Games' attendance at one of the biggest conventions of game developers. They are also hopeful that Volk's presence would attract investors and partners, paving the way to a more extensive and global adaptation of the dog-themed meme coin.
In November 2021, the team announced the Shiba Inu Game, which swept investors into a wave of frenzy. Like all other new NFT games set to roll out in the future, the arrival of the games will further expand the ever-growing SHIB ecosystem.
The Shiba Inu Game consists of two games; one is an NFT game that will make use of the Shiboshi NFT and the other is a classic mobile game. The latter intends to bring in more casual players and is currently being developed by PlaySide Studios and William Volk.
The blockchain game will further add value to the Shiboshi NFT and will most likely include play-to-earn elements. Unfortunately, those are the only details about Shiba Inu Games.
The team has not yet provided the definitive date for the games' release.
Shiba Inu was trading down 0.13 percent at $0.00002343 with a 24-hour volume of $811,264,565 as of 3:19 a.m. ET on March 23 based on the data from CoinMarketCap.
