The popular comedy show, "Saturday Night Live" confirmed the names of celebrities who are all set to host season 47 including Kim Kardashian, Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis and Rami Malek.
The official Twitter handle of "Saturday Night Live" tweeted, names and dates of the pairs that will host the show together, on Wednesday. Wilson will be seen opening the season with Kacey Musgraves on Oct. 2. Kardashian and Halsey will perform together on Oct. 9 while Malek will team up with Young Thug on Oct. 16.
Sudeikis, on the other hand, will make his "Saturday Night Live" debut as a host with Brandi Carlile on Oct. 23. Previously, Sudeikis worked on "SNL" as a comedy writer between 2003 to 2005. The "Ted Lasso" star wrote 37 episodes in his two years of work on the comedy show.
Halsey also took to Twitter Wednesday to share her excitement for hosting "SNL." The singer shared an image of a yellow t-shirt that read, "Saturday Night Live" and dropped the date of her performance with Kardashian.
"Back to New York, it’s Saturday night," she captioned the photo.
Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.
"Wow! SNL has done it again! As we can all tell by these comments, everyone is SUPER hyped about that Kim K episode! You got your fingers on the pulse like no one else. Fantastic job!" one of the fans commented.
"Kim? I get it. It'll be their highest-rated show since Eddie Murphy. All her followers who've never watched the show will watch and tweet about how great she looks. I never miss an episode but I'm not looking forward to her monotone all night long," another fan wrote.
However, not every user looked happy with Kardashian's appearance on the show. One of the users wrote, "Why do we give platforms to the Kardashians? What about her says 'funny?'" another user commented, "Kim?! Really?! Ugh gonna be worse than Elon. Feel real bad for the writers who will have to work miracles to make her funny."
"Saturday Night Live" is a comedy TV show that airs on the NBC network. Many actors, musicians, comedians and popular faces perform skits together on current events.
The show began in 1975 and popular names including Seth Meyers, Tom Hanks, Bill Hader, Martin Short, Steve Martin, Michael McKean and Bob Odenkirk have also been associated with the show.
Besides the NBC network, the show will be streamed on the Peacock platform.
