Sofia Vergara Pays Tribute To Her Son Manolo On His 26th Birthday

Sofia Vergara’s son, Manolo Gonzalez-Ripoll Vergara, celebrated his 26th birthday on Friday.

The “Modern Family” actress threw a party for him at the TAO in Los Angeles on the same day. The fun birthday bash was documented via the actress’ Instagram account. Vergara shared photos of herself with her good-looking son a day after his party.

In one of the photos, Manolo is seen celebrating his big day with some of his friends. He has a lighted birthday cake in front of him. Vergara simply captioned the snap by greeting her son a happy birthday. Manolo also shared a photo of himself via his Instagram account on his special day. But even though it was his birthday, he decided to pay tribute to his mom instead.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Manolo’s celebration continued at Avenue in Los Angeles. While there, the actress shared two pictures via her social media account. The first snap was of herself, Manolo and the rest of the people who attended his party. The second photo was only of Vergara and her son. The actress’ husband, Joe Manganiello, wasn’t at both parties since he is out of town filming for an upcoming project.

Last year, Vergara spoke with People and shared some details about her relationship with Manolo. “Every time people compliment me about my son, Manolo, it is very rewarding,” she said. After all, it wasn’t easy raising Manolo since she had him at a very young age.

“I was really young when I divorced his father, so I raised him trying to set the best example and give him the best that I could. When people compliment me on him, on how well mannered, how charming, funny and well-behaved he is, it makes all the sacrifices worthwhile,” she added.

Manolo was the son of Joe Gonzalez, Vergara’s husband between 1991 and 1993. There are rumors that the couple’s relationship went down the drain after Vergara’s career took off, and she became extremely successful in the industry. But despite their decision to go their separate ways, the two have an amicable relationship for the sake of their son.
