When episode 11 concluded, Jax had learned the terrible truth about who really killed Tara (Maggie Siff) when the SAMCRO president paid Juice (Theo Rossi) a visit in jail. The bald club member confessed to his brother that Gemma (Katey Sagal) was the one behind the gruesome death of Jax’s wife. In addition, Juice divulged why they decided to pin the crime on Lin (Kenneth Choi) and his gang – a lie that cost many innocent lives, including Bobby’s (Mark Boone Junior).

“Thank you for telling me the truth,” Jax said after the duo’s intense one-on-one. “I’ll make sure it’s quick.”

Now that Juice’s fate is sealed, what’s to become of Gemma? Is that what Jax’s “ultimate decision” involves? During the show’s last installment, Jax was torn on how to approach his mother for the pain and destruction she’s caused. He even revealed the conflict he felt to Nero (Jimmy Smits), who responded that if Jax was to kill Gemma, he would forever regret the decision.

“[That’s] a wound that’s too deep to heal. That’s going to swallow you up. That’s going to destroy you, man," Nero said.
