Taylor Swift Lived A 'Double Life' At The Start Of Singing Career

Taylor Swift has been a trailblazer in the field of music. She has worked really hard to get where she is right now and it is commendable that she is continuously treating her fans with great music year after year.

While speaking in an interview with British Vogue, the 30-year-old musician opened up about how lucky she is to have not found “instant” success in her singing career and has learned a lot after all the struggles she had to go through to reach to the top.

Reflecting on her career, the “You Need To Calm Down” hitmaker noted that she signed her first contract when she was just 14 and her first single came out in 2018. She feels that it was really good that it took so much time to release her first track because of which she got to know how to adjust her music career with her personal life.

“I was about 18 when ‘Love Story,’ a song I had written alone, was a worldwide hit. I was lucky enough to work my way up in country music,” Swift said.

The ten-time Grammy award-winning artist also told the publication that new artists get a lot of fame at such a young age and most of these artists are not even prepared to handle such situations.

“It feels like the trajectory of their career is being shot out of a canon into a stratosphere they could no in no way be prepared for,” Swift said.

The acclaimed musician also recalled the time when she used to balance her school life and songwriting sessions at the same time. Swift confessed that she was living a “double life” at that time.

Just a couple of weeks ago, the “Cats” star was recognized as Woman of the Decade by Billboard for her stellar work in the field of music. On the other hand, Forbes reported that with a whopping earnings of $185 million in 2019, Swift is the highest-paid celebrity of 2019. She has an estimated net worth of $360 million.

But her forway into acting did not go as planned. Her movie “Cats” has bombed at the box office and is being panned by the critics as well. The movie currently has a score of 18 percent on review site Rotten Tomatoes.
