Singer Taylor Swift has vowed to combat racial injustice and police brutality in the wake of George Floyd's death. Swift has been one of the few celebrities who have been sharing her concerns on the subject of racism for quite a while now, and she is not holding back in demanding capital punishment for the culprits.

In a series of tweets, the 30-year-old singer spoke against racism after the brutal incident that took place in Minneapolis. The “Bad Blood” hitmaker stated that “racial injustice” has been implanted deeply into local and state governments. She also noted that the whole system needs to be changed and that can only happen when citizens go out and vote to elect the right people.

The "Miss Americana" star further explained that people should vote for people who will stand with them in their fight against police violence and racism of “any kind.”

"Racial injustice has been ingrained deeply into local and state governments, and changes MUST be made there. In order for policies to change, we need to elect people who will fight against police brutality and racism of any kind. #BlackLivesMatter,” Swift wrote.

The Grammy-winning artist also requested the government to have “mail-in” voting for the upcoming Presidential elections. The demand was made due to the life-threatening coronavirus which has infected more than 2 million people in the U.S.

“We need to fight for mail-in voting for the 2020 election. No one should have to choose between their health and having their voice heard. http://VOTE.ORG (sic)” Swift wrote.

Her tweets come almost a couple of weeks after she slammed President Donald Trump for his tweet that said protesters in Minnesota should be shot for their extreme behavior.

The arist accused Trump of stoking fires of white supremacy and racism.

“After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? When the looting starts the shooting starts'???" We will vote you out in November,” Swift wrote at the time.

The particular tweet became Swift’s most-liked tweet with more than 2.2 million likes.

Recently, Bieber also shared a message with his 138 million followers on Instagram, saying that he wants to fight racism because his music and style have been widely inspired by black culture. The “Yummy” singer explained that he has “benefited off” black culture and is committed to using his platform as an artist to speak up about injustice and oppression.

“I am inspired by black culture. I have benefited off of black culture. My style, how I sing, dance, perform, and my fashion has all been influenced and inspired by black culture. I am committed to using my platform from this day forward to learn, to speak about racial injustice and systemic oppression,” Bieber wrote.
