‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Briana DeJesus To Date Javi Marroquin? Mother Wanted To Set Them Up Before Pregnancy

There was almost a “Teen Mom 2” romance between Javi Marroquin and Briana DeJesus. Before DeJesus got pregnant with baby No. 2 and was brought on to the MTV series, her mom reportedly tried to set her up with Kailyn Lowry’s ex-husband. The two greeted each other at a behind-the-scene taping of a “Teen Mom 2” update, Monday’s premiere showed.

Marroquin affectionately greeted DeJesus and her sister, Brittany. He tried to say hello to her daughter, 5-year-old Nova, but she was apparently too shy. Marroquin asked about DeJesus’ pregnancy, and then noted that Roxanne tried to get him to hook up with DeJesus. The timing apparently wasn’t right, though, and DeJesus became pregnant with boyfriend Luis’ baby.

Some fans liked the idea of Marroquin and DeJesus possibly dating. “I really hope for a #PlotTwist where @Javimarroquin9 & @_BrianaDejesus create a family together,” one Twitter user wrote.

DeJesus blamed Marroquin for starting the potential rumors. ”Lmao Javi look what u did,” she tweeted Tuesday.

Marroquin took it as a joke and wrote, “Hair flip.”

That wasn’t the only bombshell that was revealed during Monday’s episode. DeJesus admitted she considered having an abortion after she discovered she was pregnant. At the time, she and Luis were only dating for a month and she wasn’t on birth control.

“I should have been on birth control, that’s for sure,” she said to her sister. “I didn’t think I would end up getting pregnant again, so I didn’t bother getting on birth control.”

“You didn’t think you’d be getting pregnant at 16 either,” Brittany added, referencing DeJesus’ oldest daughter, whom she had with ex-boyfriend Devon.

DeJesus famously has a bad relationship with her ex, but she suspected 31-year-old boyfriend Luis would be different than Devon since he was older and more mature. She was surprised about his supportive reaction to her pregnancy considering the met during a while night at a club.

“This pregnancy was the last thing I expected to happen,” she said. “Like, ‘What? You guys met at the club and then what? She’s pregnant, what?’”

The quickness of the pregnant led to her consider terminating the pregnancy. “When I first found out, I was more like, ‘Well we don’t really know each other so maybe it’s best if we do get an abortion,’ ” DeJesus admitted to Luis. “But, you were very supportive.”

But Luis isn’t perfect. DeJesus heard rumors that he was cheating on her with her friend’s cousin. DeJesus promptly texted the girl to find out if Luis was sleeping with the other woman while in a relationship with her.

She wasn’t quick to jump to conclusions at first. “I don’t want to overthink it because it could be nothing, but it’s suspect,” she said.

“Teen Mom 2” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on MTV.
