‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Star Chris Hemsworth Passes Thor’s ‘Torch’ To His Kid
It must be nice to have the god of thunder Thor (Chris Hemsworth) as a dad.
A lot of kids would give anything to tour the Marvel sets where Thor and his fellow Avengers work, so Hemsworth’s kids are extremely lucky to be treated to just that.
Hemsworth shared the tender moment on Instagram, which showed him, in full Thor costume, walking hand in hand with one of his kids, who was wearing a cape.
Earlier, Hemsworth told E! News that his kids - 3-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan as well as 5-year-old daughter India Rose - were actually “wildly unimpressed” when he took them to work.
“They were like, ‘This is so boring. We thought you fought monsters for a living and you don’t,” Hemsworth said.
For now, Hemsworth is busy filming “Avengers: Infinity War” together with Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johanssen as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawk Eye, and many more.
Hopefully, the storyline for Marvel’s upcoming film passed Hemsworth’s standards. The Australian hunk previously criticized the “Avengers” films as not being “personal” enough because there are so many characters involved, and said that he prefers making standalone superhero movies.
“The ‘Avengers’ stuff is hard because it’s not very personal,” Hemsworth told Slash Film. “There’s seven of you in a room and you have to get across all this information that feels expositional. So it’s hard to really have a dynamic.”
His recent standalone film, “Thor: Ragnarok,” was a blockbuster hit and Hemsworth could not stop raving about it. He especially loved their new players - Cate Blanchett as Hela and Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster.
“I’m in love with Cate. My wife is too, so I can say that,” he laughingly said. “The fearlessness, she’s just insanely funny and smart and talented. It’s sort of too good to be true. Kind of like, what’s the catch?”
As for Goldblum, Hemsworth said he is his brother Liam’s favorite person in the world. “Seriously. Had such a great time with him. He’d talk about him all the time – he did to me – maybe more than the film,” he said.
“Avengers: Infinity War” will be released on April 25, 2018.
